Engr. Zige Bulou Felix hails from Agudama Ekpetiama, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. He attended Community Secondary School, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, from 1993 to 1997, where he obtained his Senior School Certificate (NECO). Following this, he pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) degree at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology.
In 2007, Engr. Zige Bulou Felix began his professional career with the Bayelsa Transport Company as a Ticket Clerk. His dedication and commitment to his role led to his promotion and conversion to the position of Mechanical Engineer II in 2011. He served as the Head of the Maintenance Department from 2012 to 2020, during which he made significant contributions to the department’s operations. In 2020, he was transferred and integrated into the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure as a Principal Mechanical Engineer, a position he held until 2024.
In 2024, Engr. Felix was further transferred to the Ministry of Communications, Science, and Technology, where he was appointed Assistant Chief Mechanical Engineer. He was subsequently posted to the Physical and Life Sciences Department, where he currently serves as the Head of Department.
Engr. Zige Bulou Felix is a registered professional engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), holding registration number R55126. He is also certified in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) with certifications in HSE 1, 2, and 3, from the Onshore and Offshore Safety Institute of Nigeria.
A committed Christian, Engr. Felix is married and blessed with two children.
