Our Core Functions Include:

• Planning, Organizing, and Coordinating: Overseeing all ICT infrastructures and resources within the ministry.
• Advisory Role: Providing strategic guidance on ICT matters and supervising the efficient use of technology resources.
• Promoting E-Governance: Driving the government’s e-governance initiatives to enhance digital service delivery.
• Website and Server Management: Creating, managing, and updating the ministry’s websites, portals, servers, and email systems to ensure seamless digital communication.
• Software Development and Network Administration: Ensuring the development, deployment, and management of system and application software on the ministry’s LAN/WAN networks to maintain operational integrity.
• Data Security: Implementing robust hardware protection and security mechanisms to safeguard the ICT environment and ensure the integrity of the information systems.
• ICT Training and Capacity Building: Designing and overseeing regular ICT literacy and proficiency training programs for staff, in alignment with government ICT policies.
• Advising on Standards: Ensuring adherence to ICT standards, norms, and best practices in all technological operations.
• Collaboration with Agencies: Liaising with the Nigerian Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), the Computer Professional Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), and other MDAs to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration.
• Participation in ICT Affairs: Engaging in both bilateral and multilateral discussions on ICT-related matters.
• Other Assigned Duties: Performing any additional ICT-related tasks as assigned from time to time.
