Ministry of Communications, Science and Technology Enhances Staff Capacity through Website Publishing and Management Training
As part of its strategic initiative to strengthen digital infrastructure, the Ministry of Communications, Science and Technology has conducted a comprehensive training program for its staff on website publishing and management. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the ministry’s digital presence, improving information dissemination, and ensuring efficient online service delivery to the public.
Key Focus Areas of the Training:
1. Technical Skills Development
Staff members were equipped with essential technical knowledge, including:
- Use of website creation tools such as WordPress, Joomla, and other content management systems (CMS).
- Basic web design skills using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Fundamentals of web hosting and domain management, ensuring the ministry’s websites are securely deployed and well maintained.
2. Content Management and Updates
Participants learned how to:
- Create, edit, and update website content, including news updates, policy documents, and official reports.
- Ensure content accuracy and timeliness, contributing to greater transparency and public trust.
- Effectively integrate media such as images, videos, and downloadable documents to enhance communication.
3. User Experience (UX) and Accessibility
Emphasis was also placed on:
- Designing intuitive, accessible websites that cater to users of all abilities.
- Ensuring optimal website performance, including fast load times, mobile responsiveness, and a user-friendly interface.
